My Philosophy

From the moment my physical therapist saw and cared for me at my lowest with my knee injury, I knew that I wanted to reciprocate that same impact she had on me with others. It is my deepest desire for my patients to feel heard and seen. When a patient comes to see me, I want them to know that I am there to truly help them in every capacity that I can physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I truly believe that movement is medicine, and that it has the ability to shape the trajectory of our lives. I view my patients in a holistic way, where my patient is not their diagnosis, but a person with a need. I strive to make meaningful and real relational connections with each of my patients, and hope they know that they truly understand how much I care about helping them to get the relief that they are looking for. I believe in collaboration, education, empowerment and helping my patient’s find a new potential that they might’ve otherwise not discovered on their own.

My Background

I grew up in North Pole, Alaska. Yes, Alaska! Shortly after graduating high school, I moved to North Dakota to pursue my Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and Certificate in Strength and Conditioning on a collegiate volleyball scholarship at Valley City State University (VCSU). Upon graduation from VCSU and marrying my husband, Robert, I decided to go back to school to follow my dreams in becoming a Doctor in Physical Therapy at the University of North Dakota. In my free time, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our friends and family, traveling, thrifting, and trying local restaurants and coffee shops around us!

As I continue to grow as a physical therapist, I have several interests within the orthopedic, manual therapy and vestibular sectors of PT. I also enjoy working with athletes and helping them get back to game or race day potential.
