Carly Langhurst, PT, DPT
My Philosophy
I initially fell in love with the PT profession following my own rehabilitation journey. I quickly realized the teamwork and passion required from every person involved in my care to help me achieve my goals. Growing up playing team sports helped instill in me the qualities necessary to form meaningful relationships to foster an environment built on teamwork.
As a physical therapist, it is my goal to provide patient-centered, quality, and compassionate care to every patient that I have the privilege to work with. I aspire to enhance human movement to help each patient return to their highest level of function and independence. My hope is that each patient’s rehabilitation experience is a positive one, and that I play an integral role in their journey as they regain strength, improve mobility, or relieve pain. As I strive to make a difference in my patients’ lives, I will be inspired by their resilience and earn their trust as we work toward common goals.
My Background
I graduated with my B.S. in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University, where I was fortunate to be a part of the Division I women’s soccer program. Following a quick four years, I returned to the east side of the state to obtain my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, so am happy to be back home.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I also love the outdoors, country concerts, playing card/board games, and traveling.
