Kepros Physical Therapy & Performance

Becoming Better Together

Jodi Nelson, PT, DPT, CLT

My Philosophy

I believe in treating the root of an injury, not just its symptoms. Pain rarely occurs in isolation, and I work to understand my patient’s movement patterns and dysfunctions that can lead to injury. I believe an educated patient is an engaged patient, so be prepared to learn how your body works, and more importantly, how we can make it work better.

My Background

I received my clinical doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2008. Since then, I have practiced in nursing homes, clinics and hospitals across the country, with an emphasis on orthopedic rehabilitation. I’m a Certified Lymphedema Specialist (CLT), which means I employ a variety of techniques to manage and reduce swelling. I’m also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and am working towards a certification in functional manual therapy through the Institute of Physical Art. As a Wisconsin native who has moved to the area with my husband, a native Cedar Rapidian, I look forward to working with the wonderful people of this community!

I couldn’t ask for better care for my mom than what Kepros PT provided. Jodi is such a loving, caring person and was so patient. I feel truly blessed, and I know that I can trust Ted and his employees to take care of any family member or friend of mine.

Jodi Nelson is a remarkable physical therapist and even better person. Her passion for health is transparent and she honestly made me want to work harder at each session and at home to reach higher than the initial goals I had for myself. I left Kepros not only healed but 110% of the person who initially walked in and I owe it all to Jodi.
